Hello,
I hope it is all right to post to this thread, even though it is Turkish
language. But I am having the same problem with what has been termed, 'runaway
cpu usage' while using KDE4.6.5 desktop and a dial up connection using KPPP.
It happens if my connection stalls and kppp dies, or it seems random as well,
ie. when I disconnect and then close kppp. It is difficult to pinpoint. I look
at system processes and kded4 shows 92% CPU usage. Here is worldforum thread
on problem:
http://worldforum.pardus-linux.nl/index.php?topic=3984.msg21180#new
Currently I am testing to see if by stoping KDE System Service "NetworkManager
User Settings Service" under System Settings>Startup and Shutdown>Service
Manager will resolve this problem.
It seems to be a known bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plasma-widget-networkmanagement/+bug/741200
I am also going to try the fix suggested at this bug thread in reply#5.
Thank you for your time.
Lisa Marie
