Autodetection of the video card/monitor might have failed. There are 2
options. If you are familiar with xorg.conf, when the boot fails, you
can manually edit and correct the xorg.conf file with
and then restart YALI with
service yali restart
For problems like this, we have an xorg kernel parameter to command
zorg (which configures Xorg). xorg=safe will tell zorg to configure
xorg use 800x600 vesa. To do this, at the first selection screen,
choose your desired installation type, press e, go to kernel line,
press e and add xorg=safe to the end of line. Press enter, then press b
to boot into system.
This should at least bring you the installation display. After
installing the system, you can manually change xorg.conf or if you
prefer install ati-drivers.
