 Autodetection of the video card/monitor might have failed. There are 2
options. If you are familiar with xorg.conf, when the boot fails, you
can manually edit and correct the xorg.conf file with

 nano  /etc/X11/xorg.conf

 and then restart YALI with

 service yali restart

 For problems like this, we have an xorg kernel parameter to command
zorg (which configures Xorg). xorg=safe will tell zorg to configure
xorg use 800x600 vesa. To do this, at the first selection screen,
choose your desired installation type, press e, go to kernel line,
press e and add xorg=safe to the end of line. Press enter, then press b
to boot into system.

 This should at least bring you the installation display. After
installing the system, you can manually change xorg.conf or if you
prefer install ati-drivers.
