[Pardus-users] Problems with applications

Dear Pardus developers,

Every single software I tried to compile from the source using the 
familiar and most of the time working "configure | make | make install" 
trio just failed to compile & run on Pardus which is pretty despairing.

Does this mean that if I'm not proficient enough to make the required 
modifications for the install scripts, I'll have to sit and wait until 
some contributor builds the PISI packages for me? Which brings me, by 
the way I also failed to run the "Armagetron 3D" I installed using the 
package manager. It is as if I didn't even click on the link - just nothing.

PS: The three programs I'd like to get running most are the Tomboy, 
Blockout(2) and Liferea, by the way, FYI. 8)
