Yet, untill now I got any feedback. Should I keep waiting? Have I used the wrong email address (admins at pardus.org.tr)? Is there other channel I should use to offer my contribution? Have I been unpolite to someone? Or, is it simply that Pardus Team does not need any more contribution from the users? Or, maybe, my contribution, translating it to pt_PT, is a small one and not very important. I mean, any answer would be valid. A simple and concise reply was more than enough. But it seems the Pardus Team not even bother give a simple feedback. Good luck, -- Jos? Terreiro ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Jos? Terreiro Date: 27/12/2007 11:48 Subject: How can I contribute to Pardus Linux To: admins at pardus.org.tr Hi, I am a recent Pardus user, and I must say I am very impressed and quite happy with it. Congratulations for your achievement. The only serious "complaint" I have, is it lack of good and detailed information in other languages than Turkish. One area I miss more the absence of an english (or french/spanish/portuguese) document is on how to build a pisi package, a full and detailed how-to/guide. Anyway, I would like to contribute to this fantastic project, the way I feel more confident, that is, translating it for my mother tongue -- portuguese (Portugal), and possibly contribute with a few pisi packages (asap I learn how to do it) that are missing (at least I could not find it) from the Pardus repositories, like RSSOwl (my prefered RSS reader). I am sending you the requested information. If you need more details from me just let me know. 1. the development subjects you are working on related with Pardus. I am new comer so I am not working on any subjects related with Pardus. 2. other subjects you want to work on. Because I feel more confident on it, translating is the main subject I would like to work on. 3. the e-mail address/username which you use for the bug tracking system. jose.terreiro at gmail.com / joster 4. your areas of specialization. I am an intermediate Linux user, so other than translating documents, I can say I have an area of specialization. 5. a Pardus developer who knows about your work and might be a reference for you. I have just arrive. Sorry. Unless we could meet in other life, no Pardus developer knows about me nor my work. I hope it can change in the near future, by participating to your project. Did you already try pardus-devel mailing list? You can check this one and others (maybe also "pardus-gelistirici" for example, gelistirici means developer in Turkish) http://liste.pardus.org.tr/mailman/listinfo Hope this helps, otherwise, try a bug report :) Emre On Jan 9, 2008 1:59 PM, Jos?
