 You don't have to manually install the microcode, it is provided by 
microcode-data package which is a dependency of microcode_ctl

 microcode_ctl is a conditional service, a.k.a.it automatically starts if you 
have an Intel cpu. If you want to force start, you can do it through service-
manager in tasma -> system -> service-manager  but it should not be necessary
