posted earlier on the pardus world forum.<br>

I am trying to install Pardus 2007.2 in a VMWare workstation (VMWare 5.5.3
build-34685).<br>
<br>
After copying the packages, the installer reports the following error:<br>

cannot connect to comar<br>
pipi.comariface.Error<br>
<br>
followed by a lengthy backtrace. The last lines of the backtrace are:<br>

I should point out that ftp access from the machine is blocked by a firewall,
so if it's trying to download information from the internet at this point, it
might fail. However, I have not been given an opportunity to provide network
settings at this point so I doubt this is it.<br>

Since I first attempted this, I tried installing Pardus 2007.1 and Pardus
2007.2 on the same machine, this time using VMWare 6.0.0 build-45731 with
exactly the same result.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
