<br>As far as i understand, you want to create a virtual network interface on host machine and use this as network adapter on guest. <br><br>Also you should do following, if above assumption correct:<br>tunctl -t tap0 -u user_name <br>
chmod 0666 /dev/net/tun<br>ifconfig tap0 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx up (or get ip per DHCP client)<br><br>You should then enable network adapter on Vbox, set to "Attached to Host Interface" and give as "Interface Name" tap0 .<br>
